Friends With Frank goes faux

Words by Christina Karras

Just in time for winter.

If fur coats are your thing, you might already know about Friends With Frank.

The Melbourne-based brand has been producing slow-made, high-quality furs since 2012 but has only just released its first faux fur collection.

The faux fur line offers three designs that promise to keep you warm without compromising your vegan ethics.

“We initially dismissed faux fur as a fast fashion trend, but after researching and sourcing some really beautiful materials we now feel that it’s just as capable of fulfilling our ethos around creating classic wardrobe staples that are made to last,” says Friends’ with Frank’s founder, Julia McCarthy.

The collection features the Harriet Teddy Coat in tan, cream and pastel pink, and the Adeline jacket in cheetah. Meanwhile, the Maxine jacket in leopard is a fun update on an investment piece.

Since the brand champions quality over quantity as part of their commitment to sustainable production, you can also take solace in knowing that its stock is made-to-order to minimise waste and over-consumption.
