Upping the drama.

We’ve come to expect a lot from H&M’s designer collaborations, and the brand’s next offering is no exception.

At the amFAR Gala in Cannes this week, H&M previewed a new collection that was designed in partnership with Giambattista ValliH&M x Giambattista Valli will be dropping in two parts: a limited pre-collection line, followed by a full launch later in the year.

The ruffled, ultra-feminine preview range appeared at the gala worn by stars like Kendall Jenner, musician H.E.R and actress Bianca Brandolini d’Adda.

Standout pieces on the red carpet include a hot pink high-low ruffled dress and white lace gown with a flowery sweetheart neckline.

The collaboration will also see Valli’s first foray into menswear, which was teased with a look modelled by Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s Ross Lynch.

If this preview is anything to go by, it’s safe to expect plenty of pink, unconventional hemlines and delicate, textured fabrics like lace and tulle from the rest of the collection.

This limited pre-collection – featuring all the designs seen in Cannes – will be available online and in select stores from May 25, with the larger line dropping November 7.
