A week in work outfits with Kat Moses, the Founder of Australian talent agency MGMT

WORDS BY MAGGIE ZHOU

“I love mixing my high-end pieces with my everyday wardrobe.”

Working in a creative role, it can be difficult to know how to dress for the day. Instead of having a set uniform of crisp white shirts and tailored black pants (as much as I love both), an ever-changing schedule means every morning requires a set of questions. Am I running around, or just sitting at my desk? Do I need to dress specifically for a project? And most importantly, will I be in the background of someone’s TikTok?

Blazers, clean-cut shirts, trench coats – some people’s personal style naturally falls under the category of ‘corporate-ish’. It’s the case for Kat Moses, the Founder of Australian talent agency MGMT. Working on Sydney’s bustling George Street, Kat deals with talent, clients and her growing team on the daily.

Her role bounces from creative and business, and her outfits reflect this balancing act. Kat’s wardrobe rotation features statement boots, neutral palettes and a couple of sheer pieces. Read on to see what she wears during a typical work week.

Monday

Monday is a catch-up day for me – emails and internal staff meetings mainly. I don’t tend to schedule any client-facing meetings on a Monday so my outfit is always more casual. I’m wearing a beautifully tailored Camilla and Marc shirt, high-waisted Dissh jeans and my favourite summer Loewe slides. I love this look because it’s casual but still polished without having to accessorise too much.

Tuesday

On Tuesdays, the entire team is usually in the office so I know we most likely have a ‘What are you wearing today?’ TikTok to film. I usually have client-facing meetings scheduled for Tuesdays as well, so I like to wear a heel and elevate my look for the office. I’m wearing a sheer Ezra top, a Dissh cotton skirt, By Far heels, a Fendi baguette bag and Bottega sunglasses. I love this look because it brings a bit of colour to my look while still being neutral. I love mixing my high-end pieces with my everyday wardrobe.

Wednesday

My team works from home on a Wednesday so I’m usually in the office alone. Wednesdays are catch-up days on emails and tasks because of the all-day meetings the day prior. I usually dress casually like on Mondays. I’m wearing a Camilla and Marc trench and shirt, a Zara belt, Anine Bing jeans, Loewe slides, a Fendi baguette bag and Luv Lou sunglasses. I absolutely love a white shirt and trench moment so I was excited to finally wear my new trench today!

Thursday

Thursdays are similar to Tuesdays as the entire team is back in the office. I most likely have internal and external meetings with my finance team as well as talent and brands. We treat Thursdays in the office a bit like Fridays, so we might go to a team lunch. It’s usually more of a social day. I’m wearing a Camilla and Marc blazer, a Cos long-sleeve top, a Dion Lee skirt and Prada boots. I love this look because it’s a little sexy while still remaining classy in the office.

Friday

On Fridays, I’m usually in the office alone (as the team works from home). I’ll dress more fun as I most likely meet friends for dinner or a drink after work. Pending how the week has played out, I’ll catch up on emails, plan for the following week and follow up on any items that need chasing from the week.

I’m wearing a Cos T-shirt, a Zara skirt, Tony Bianco boots, Christopher Esber earrings and Luv Lou sunglasses. I love this look because I’m obsessed with the sheer trend at the moment and love pairing it with an oversized item. Perfect for after-work drinks.
