Gucci beats Off-White, becomes most searched brand in the world

Another win for Gucci.

Lyst has revealed the top 10 brands for the closing quarter of 2018, with Gucci taking out another number one spot.

Online shopping behaviour of over five million shoppers was analysed in the last three months of 2018, taking into account global Lyst and Google search data.

It found that over six million shoppers searched for a Gucci bag, belt or shoe from October to December last year. That makes Gucci accessories the most powerful products in fashion for almost two years running.

Off-White followed closely behind Gucci (knocked from the top spot in Q3), with Balenciaga coming in at position three. According to Lyst, searches for Balenciaga rose after Michelle Obama was spotted wearing a pair of the brand’s sparkly thigh-high boots.

Moncler jumped a massive 12 places into position four, thanks to its viral Poldo Dog Couture collaboration and the overall success of its signature down jacket.
