Off-White’s first Australian store features pieces of a demolished house

WORDS BY VERONICA STANFORD

Worth a visit.

Off-White seems to be an unstoppable force right now. Having spent the year working on collaborations with Ikea and Nike, Virgil Abloh has turned his attention Down Under.

The designer recently teamed up with Brooklyn-based, Australian artist, Ian Strange, on a sculptural installation for Off-White’s first Australian store.

It sees the space filled with meticulously re-assembled sections of a demolished house, with burnt-out framework, exterior panelling and doors and windows cut directly out of the original house. Titled Nothing is Finished, the work marks the first of an ongoing collaboration between Virgil and Ian.

The Off-White store can be found in QV Melbourne and is open now.
