Cowboy boots, leopard print and secondhand Ganni.

Working in a creative role, it can be difficult to know how to dress for the day. Instead of having a set uniform of crisp white shirts and tailored black pants (as much as I love both), an ever-changing schedule means every morning requires a set of questions. Am I running around, or just sitting at my desk? Do I need to dress specifically for a project? And most importantly, will I be in the background of someone’s TikTok?

For Tiny Disco’s Art Director Rylie Cooke, every day is different. “It’s an incredible role for someone who wants to be creative every day and work across different ways of thinking,” she told Fashion Journal back in 2022. Rylie’s work wardrobe includes everything from a classic grey blazer to silver cowboy boots, and her outfits are decided depending on the week’s shoot schedule. The one constant? A steady rotation of Ganni. Below, she shares a week of work outfits.

Monday

I was shooting for a baby brand all day which involved a lot of Baby Shark and bubbles to entertain the kiddos, so I wanted my look to be comfortable and effortless. I’ve just had these yellow Coperni jeans I bought at a warehouse sale tailored, and this was my first time wearing them.

This Ganni leopard-print mesh top is one of my faves and paired perfectly with the yellow. I truly believe leopard print is a neutral, and you can’t convince me otherwise. For shoes, I went with my trusty vintage cowboy boots for comfort and to tie back to the leopard print. Here’s me on our new Tiny Disco couch (talk about a Facebook Marketplace dream find by our creative director).

Tuesday

On Tuesday I was also on set, so jeans were the go-to option. I found these Assembly Label ones at the brand’s warehouse sale and I’m a bit obsessed. I paired them with a vintage black puffy-sleeved top and one of my all-time favourite knits from Ganni. I love wearing this because it feels so me, and it’s such a versatile piece to have in my wardrobe.

I finished off this look with some Ganni boots that are super chunky but comfy and this necklace from a brand called Cry Baby Bling, which my friend runs. I actually got a compliment on it at my coffee shop before I headed to work and some of the babies we were shooting with loved the sparkles… so it was a win-win.

Wednesday

After two days of being on set, I’m a bit wiped and just want something to wear that feels easy and comfortable. So on Wednesday, I opted for these pink kind of tie-dye jeans from Source Unknown, paired with a Ganni knit I got for a steal on The Real Real.

When I tell you I’m obsessed with finding secondhand Ganni… I mean it! I finished off the look with these Nike x Jacquemus sneakers that are chic and so comfy, plus a little pearl necklace my sister gave me. This look feels super me with the oversized collar and the pink.

Thursday

Today we were shooting a Tiny Disco team video for International Women’s Day, so we were told to wear something fashion-forward that made us feel good and powerful! My look featured this Ganni white collared dress I’m obsessed with and these cowboy-style silver boots from Feners.

This look always makes me feel really cool and is perfect for a warmer day when you don’t want to feel weighed down by your clothes. The dress is super summery and light while still feeling like a unique piece. I sometimes struggle dressing for summer as I’m much more of a layers and winter fashion girlie, but this feels like a good middle ground!

Friday

It’s Friday, woo! My look is channelling lazy Copenhagen fashion girlie in a relaxed outfit. I actually received these Twoobs in the mail on Thursday, so I wanted to style them into a look for the week. They’re in this blush colour I thought paired really well with this old pink top from Zara.

I popped on a few layered gold necklaces from Mejuri and, of course, an oversized Mango blazer and jeans. What is this weather, Melbourne? My hair is slicked back to hide the end-of-week grease… I think it came together with the effortlessness of this look.
