Seafolly is getting you summer ready with its limited-edition beach box treasure hunt

WORDS BY JASMINE WALLIS

Seafolly is dropping summer essentials around soon-to-be-revealed spots in Sydney.

Summertime is here. The knits are folded away and the linen is out. We’re slathering on the sunscreen, jumping into the water and iconic swimwear brand Seafolly has something up its billowing, summer sleeves.

Since popping up on the shores of Bondi Beach in 1975, the iconic swimwear brand has dressed people for summer for over forty years and has been a true blue staple of Australian beach culture for generations.

To celebrate the first day of Summer tomorrow (because let’s face it, we all need something to celebrate this year) Seafolly is dropping limited edition, one-of-a-kind boxes full of summer staples across some of Sydney’s most iconic beaches.

Each box contains summer essentials including a soft, fluffy beach towel, a woven beach bag, a sun hat and a limited-edition heritage ’70s sweater.

Like an Australian beach treasure hunt, on December 1, Seafolly will be telling you where you can get your hands on one of the unique boxes on its Instagram account @seafollyaustralia.

Once the location has been released, it’s up to you to get down to the shores as quickly as possible – knowing Sydneysiders’ Seafolly obsession, they’ll get snapped up quickly.

These pieces are made to last beyond the summer season and draw on Seafolly’s rich heritage. The vintage-style jumper harks back to the ’70s with its blue font and beach club aesthetic while the gingham and floral print cooler bags are a staple of long, hot Australian summers.

The release of the beach essential boxes also arrives just days after Seafolly’s Summer 2020 collection. Featuring local models Georgia Fowler and Charlee Fraser, Seafolly is infusing its retro-glam with the modern Australian woman.

There are five collections to shop, inspired by different eras and women. Featuring ’70s textural fabric in bold hues, Sea Dive is the more luxurious of the drop with one-shoulder bandeaus and deep-cut one-pieces.

Timeless animal print is featured in the Wild Ones collection, while feminine vintage floral styles can be found in the Thrift Shop drop.

Gingham is everywhere this season and Seafolly has taken inspiration from the shores of Europe with the Check In collection. Made from a reversible European knit, the red swimmers make for a Christmas-ready swimsuit.

Finally, the Summer Memoirs and New Wave styles are inspired by bold, abstract blooms and the movements of the ocean.

Blending a fresh, modern style with inspirations from summers gone by, this latest collection is cementing the brand as one of Australia’s most iconic swimwear retailers once more.

Swimwear is complemented by its accessories, and if you miss out on one of the limited-edition boxes, Seafolly has a broad range to help get your summer sorted.

Seafolly has ruled the waves and sand for generations, and with its beach essential boxes launching on December 1, Seafolly will be owning the first day of summer as well.
