Stella McCartney releases a collection inspired by The Beatles and ‘Yellow Submarine’

Spreading a message of unity.
Since its 50th anniversary last year, plenty of brands have rushed to commemorate the Beatles-inspired epic, Yellow Submarine.
The latest designer to reimagine the iconic animated film is Stella McCartney, with a new collection called All Together Now.
It’s a fitting tribute from the daughter of former Beatle Paul McCartney, who points to re-watching the film as inspiration for the range.
“I hadn’t seen it since I was young,” the designer explained. “It affected me in a way I just wasn’t expecting. Especially this idea of connecting people and bringing people together – politically this message has never been more relevant.”
The collection includes womenswear, menswear and kids clothing, all emblazoned with motifs and imagery from the film.
Portraits of the band’s members appear on knitwear and patches, while iconic animated scenes are represented on dresses, outerwear and button-up shirts.
McCartney’s collection – which is sustainable and ethical – is accompanied by a psychedelic campaign video. Musicians KEYAH/BLU, Joy Crookes, Oscar Jerome and Femi Koleoso are seen exploring Yellow Submarines ‘Sea of Holes’ to a track composed exclusively for the video.
