Stüssy founder comes out of retirement for collaboration with Dior

Shook.

After more than two decades out of the game, Shawn Stussy (founder of Stüssy) has come out of retirement for a collaboration with Dior.

For his first collection in years, Shawn partnered up with Dior’s creative director Kim Jones to design their Pre-Fall 2020 men’s collection.

The runway show, which took place in Miami Beach on December 3, saw intense and brightly coloured pieces with strong patterns, best described by Dior as a tutti-frutti motif.

Shawn redesigned the Dior logo for the collaboration which then covered the neon green walls and floor of the runway.

In an interview with Vogue, Kim revealed he’s been a fan of Stüssy since adolescence and would buy its pieces with the money he made working in a café.

Before the collection launched, Shawn took to his Instagram to write that the project was a good vibe and felt very natural for him.

The collection will go on sale online and in store in 2020.
