Very amusing scrolling.

Thanks to the Internet and crafty Photoshop artists, scrolling through meme accounts is quickly becoming our generation’s favourite pastime.

The latest to grab our attention is @mystendhalsyndrome. Created by Antonio Patruno Randolfi, the Instagram account takes historical portraits and edits them to wear high fashion pieces from designer brands.

Funnily enough, the account takes its name from the psychosomatic disorder that can cause dizziness and hallucinations when viewing art. Images feature the likes of Mary Queen of Scots and French revolutionary Louis-Benoit Zamor looking smug, decked out in influencer-worthy get-ups. They’ve been pictured rocking Kenzo bumbags, Gucci sunnies, and Prada bucket hats.

It makes for a hilarious juxtaposition of cultures past and present, and very amusing scrolling.

Check out some of our favourites below.
