In news that’s imperative to share with the Aldi sceptic in your life, the supermarket chain has just been dubbed the most trusted brand in Australia. Take that, naysayers.

The trusty folk at Roy Morgan have unveiled the findings of their Net Trust Score survey, in which 4,000 people were asked to name the brands they trust and distrust in response to an open-ended prompt.

“The success of ALDI’s entrance to the Australian market has been built not only on discount prices but also a reputation for reliability and meeting the needs of consumers,” explained Roy Morgan CEO, Michele Levine.

Bendigo Bank, Qantas, Bunnings and Kmart were among the highest scoring brands when it came to trust, while Woolies and Coles didn’t even make the top 10 (below).
