Attention: Kmart is dropping a new homewares collection

Here come the masses.

Everyone remain calm, lower your voices and form orderly queues: Kmart has launched its next homewares collection.

The August Inspired Living range spans furniture, dining, bedding, interior and outdoor décor, home storage and more. It incorporates new textures, finishes and shapes to Kmart’s cult product range. Cue nation-wide stampedes.

This season, three core trends influence the design philosophy: Natural, Timeless, and Urban. Let me walk you through them:

The Natural range combines warm tones and layered textures, think terracotta, blonde timber and faux leather reminiscent of a desert landscape.

Next, there’s the Timeless range, which leans towards a more feminine aesthetic. It utilises marble, faux fur and softly coloured glass.

Lastly, the Urban range caters to a more masculine focus. Think powder-coated metals, brass, faux leather and velvet. Very fancy.

Most excitingly of all, Melburnians are getting treated to Kmart’s first fully immersive home hub. Today and tomorrow, locals can get a sneak peak of the range up close, as well as receiving one-on-one styling advice.

The August Inspired Living range is due to drop in-store and online from August 2.
