Ryan Reynolds is remaking ‘Home Alone’

Is nothing sacred anymore?

Proving he can pretty much do whatever he wants, Ryan Reynolds is producing a Home Alone remake. And because nothing is sacred, he’s giving it a 420 twist.

Titled Stoned Alone (it pained me to type that), the film will be based on the John Hughes classic and follow a “twenty-something weed growing loser.” 

According to Deadline, the plot centres around this character, who misses the plane for his holiday ski trip.

“He makes the best of things by getting high. Paranoia sets in and he believes he hears someone break into his house. Turns out thieves have broken in. Fully stoned and fueled by paranoia, he tries to thwart the thieves and defend his castle,” the publication reports. We think we’ll stick with the original, thanks.

No word yet on a release date, not that we really care.
