Doughnut Time is reopening, rolling out stores nationally in the coming months

Guess who’s back, back again.

Just when you thought you’d seen the last of the troubled chain, Doughnut Time has announced it’ll be reopening six stores over the next two months.

While rumours of a reimagining have been circulating for a while, the official public announcement came this evening via a Facebook post:

In a further comment, the new owners clarified that the chain is under new management, and expressed support for past employees who were underpaid by the previous owners.

It looks like the initial reopenings will span Brisbane, Melbourne and the Gold Coast, with plans to secure more retail space nationally.

Let’s hope the new owners adopt a more conservative expansion strategy and deliver the people of Australia the doughnuts they deserve.
