Reimagining everyone’s favourite kitty.
It’s been a big year for Hello Kitty. Following the announcement of a theme park and a new capsule collection with Furla comes another project from Japanese company Sanario.
To celebrate the cartoon kitty’s 45th anniversary, Sanario is hosting an art show in Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles, California.
It will feature artworks from over 100 artists worldwide. The pieces range from paintings to animations, and see artists offer their own unique interpretations on Hello Kitty and friends. Participating artists include Okuda San Miguel, Andrew Brandou and Kazuki Takamatsu among many more.
Guests on opening night will also be able to purchase limited-edition prints of selected 45th-anniversary artwork.
The show will kick off at the Corey Helford Gallery, on June 29.
