Time to relive your childhood, your favourite little pets are back.

Tamagotchi is finally coming to smartphones, and we can’t contain our excitement.

The virtual revival will be named My Tamagotchi Forever and will be available on iOS and Android from next year.

Holding the same concept as the classic, the game will allow users to feed, bathe and look after their adorable digital pets.

A series of mini-games will also be on offer, where you can win your way to new costumes, food, decorations and other prizes.

There’s no official release date yet, however the app’s site promises it’ll be “hatching in 2018.”
