Good news: apparently champagne can ward off Alzheimer’s

Cheers.

Well, if you needed a little good news for your Thursday morning, this is surely it (even if it is a little old).

A 2013 study conducted by Scientists at Reading University – on the impact of champagne on cognitive function – has just resurfaced. And the results are verrrrry interesting. We don’t know how it took us sooooo long to find out about it.

It’s been concluded that drinking an easy three glasses of champers per day can help to prevent the onset of dementia and Alzheimer’s. Can. Help. Prevent.

It also gets better. Apparently a compound found in your fave pinot noir can increase spatial memory and ward off brain disease.

Professor Jeremy Spencer (who helped conduct the experiment) told Mail on Sunday: “This research is exciting because it illustrates for the first time that moderate consumption of champagne has the potential to influence cognitive functioning such as memory.”
