Hot cross bun KitKats are now available in Melbourne

A glorious hybrid.

Ask anyone who knows anything and they’ll tell you, the best part of Easter is not, in fact, the chocolate. It’s the hot cross buns.

Obviously, KitKat felt this market pressure somewhere along the line because they’ve now released a hot cross bun-flavoured KitKat.

According to a press release, it tastes “exactly like a hot cross bun.”

While we’re not exactly buying that, we’re willing to try.

The Easter hybrid is like a usual, delicious KitKat but spiced with cinnamon and ground nutmeg, dotted with currants and topped with a white chocolate cross.

It’s available exclusively at the Melbourne Central’s KitKat Chocolatory from today.
