NGV unveils huge exhibition ft. 60 international artists including Yayoi Kusama

Huge.

Occurring only once every three years, the NGV Triennial is on the horizon – filling four levels of NGV International in what’s being touted as their most ambitious exhibition to date.

The Triennial will present a curated cross-section of art and design, arriving from countries across the globe, featuring both renowned artists and emerging.

Taking up all four levels of the NGV, the free exhibition will feature works from lauded Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama (with a new work developed especially for Melbourne), Chinese fashion champion Guo Pei, Germany’s Timo Nasseri, Canada’s Sascha Braunig and much more.

On home turf, Australian artists include Ben Quilty, Louisa Bufardeci and more alongside a gallery of skulls from Ron Mueck.

The NGV Triennial will run from December 2017.
