The Girl on the Train trailer is here, movie out in October

We know. HOW?

If you’re like every man and his dog, you probably read The Girl on the Train in 2015. The novel, by Paula Hawkins, was one of the most popular of the year, drawing comparisons to powerhouse thriller, Gone Girl.

Like Gone Girl, fans of The Girl on the Train were eagerly awaiting a movie adaptation. Turns out we didn’t have to wait very long, with a film set to be released in October. (We know. HOW?)

Directed by Tate Taylor, the first trailer for TGOTT dropped overnight, teasing audiences with a first glimpse of Emily Blunt and her portrayal of Rachel Watson.

The film follows Rachel, a woman devastated by her recent divorce. She spends her daily commute fantasising about the seemingly perfect married couple that lives a few houses down from her old home.  When the girl from the couple goes missing, Rachel becomes entangled in the mystery, wondering if she is somehow connected to the disappearance.

The likes of Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Luke Evans, Lisa Kudrow, Allison Janney and Laura Prepon will all share the screen with Blunt.

With a Kanye soundtrack and a lot of British accents, there’s much to love about this trailer. So if it’s anything like the book, The Girl on the Train movie will be a big one.
