Segway’s electronic skates are the 2018 version of Heelys

Segway has unveiled a new mode of personal transport and if this is what the future looks like, then we want out.

Following its Vespa hybrid, the tech company has shared deets on its Drift 1, a pair of ‘e-skates’ which kind of look like one of those ∼trendy∼ 2016 hoverboards split in two.

Each ‘foot’ features a single wheel which weighs around 3.5kg and has around 45 minutes of riding time.

At US $399, we’d say Heeleys are a more financially sound investment.
