@MCRT.Studio’s art pieces are here to inject some natural beauty into your home

Words by Maeve Kerr-Crowley

No surface is off limits.

@MCRT.Studio doesn’t confine its art to just paper or canvas.

Established just last year, the studio is perhaps best known for its street art and murals. The large-scale artworks feature wild animals and portraiture and can be found on buildings all around Australia.

Founders Maxim Chikanchi and Rozelle Tan also work across a huge range of platforms, including prints, photography, apparel and zines. But it’s the studio’s latest project which has caught our attention.

#MCRTFlorals is a collection of five photorealistic oil paintings. Each features an individual flower, which has been painted on framed glass, ready to inject some natural beauty into any room.

@MCRT.Studio also takes on commission work, so you can lay claim to a masterpiece perfectly suited to you. Check out #MCRTFlorals here, or get to know more about the studio in the video below.
