The World Record Egg was actually a mental health campaign this whole time

Eggcellent.
It turns out, the infamous World Record Egg has been hiding an important message all along.
A video (in partnership with Hulu) has revealed that the egg was created to raise awareness for mental health, focusing on the negative psychological effects of social media.
The video was released following the Super Bowl in the US, showing the egg ‘starting to crack’ under pressure. Anyone who has paid attention to the egg’s Instagram over the last few days would also have noticed increasing physical cracks on its otherwise perfect shell.
The campaign has since gained international praise from associations like Mental Health America, for shining a light on a pretty important issue.
