There’s a community dog show coming to Melbourne

Go for gold.

Attention Melbourne dog lovers: a community dog show is coming to Brunswick East.

The site of sustainable housing development, Balfe Parke Lane, will be taken over for a day by food stalls and dog-themed pop-ups.

Photography studio, Dog Photog, will be on hand to take portrait shots of local pups, and the dog show itself will take place next door at Balfe Park.

Prizes up for grabs include Best Dressed, Best Trick and Most Like Their Owner.

Kids are also invited to help paint an on-site community mural, which will be a permanent feature of the development.

The Balfe Park Dog Show will be held on October 13.
