An exclusive BTS look at Washington’s new video ‘Dirty Churches’

Synth sounds set to candle light.

By now singer Megan Washington has established her spot in Australia’s indie-pop scene. Known for her sweet vocals and synth beats, her new music video for ‘Dirty Churches’ cements her unique sound and style.

Washington’s voice sounds smooth as ever on the track and it has the nostalgic video to match. Featuring Washington singing in a candle-lit room, the clip is filled with romantic visuals.

Directed by Washington’s partner in crime Nick Waterman, much of the production for the video was improvised, with the clip pulled together in only a few days. “Any space can be sacred, any place can be holy, magical, a portal to a transcendental dimension,” Washington says of the production.

Celebrating her new release, she is also set to perform three intimate gigs across Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney – with the Sydney show already sold out.
