First look: Oscar Key Sung releases ‘D.Y.T.’

A promising taster of what’s to come.

Oscar Key Sung has released his first track for 2018, with the FJ exclusive premiere of ‘D.Y.T.’.

‘D.Y.T.’, described as a ‘twisted distant relative of a love song’, sits somewhere in the realm of RnB and dance. Sung worked on ‘D.Y.T.’ while living and performing in Mexico City, Berlin and Los Angeles. This song is an amalgamation of all those cities.

“The three cities brought out such different ideas in me, and each place I stayed was like a different chapter with a whole new narrative of life experience. I feel like I drank it all up and have metabolised all my experiences into work that I am now super excited to share this year,” he said.

The artist tapped James J Robinson to direct the video, who describes it as ‘almost documentary style’.

“We revisit the same characters at different points in time, and as you’d expect, they change. It’s a simple account of how we fall in and out of love.”
