DZ Deathrays: Bloody Lovely

Words by Bianca O’Neill

Still got it.

If you were worried all the recent success for DZ has made them soft, the high-pitched scream opening ‘Shred For Summer’ proves they most certainly haven’t.

Although they admit they went into this to write festival bangers. Thankfully the DZ swagger is still alive and well.

‘Total Meltdown’ is nostalgic in the best ways, harking back to the golden days when punk-tinged rock ’n’ roll was king. ‘High’ gives me all the heavy grunge feels. It’s another top-shelf delivery from one of our best, yet again.

Come for the ‘Bad Influence’, stay for the ‘Witchcraft’.
