Sam Smith: The Thrill Of It All

WORDS BY BIANCA O’NEILL

Full of smouldering sadness.

Opening with the killer number one track ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’, Smith’s sophomore album perfectly showcases his flawless voice.

It’s full of the smouldering sadness left over after the embers of a relationship have finally died.

‘One Last Song’ and ‘Baby, You Make Me Crazy’ will be fodder to wannabe singers on The X Factor imminently. And, a turn from upcoming artist YEBBA on ‘No Peace’, has uncovered the kind of star power that won’t be unsigned for long.

Another strong album from Smith, delivering on every front for that terribly-named category, ‘adult contemporary’.

A glass of red wine, this album and someone you love, and you’re all set.
