NGV announces an all-Aussie lineup for this winter’s Friday Nights series

Keeping you warm this winter.

The NGV has released the program for another round of NGV Friday Nights, and now we know exactly how we’re going to be keeping warm this winter.

The gallery will host some of Australia’s best bands and performers from Friday May 31 until Saturday October 12. We’re talking the likes of psychedelic-folk dreamers Husky, the boys from Slum Sociable and all the fun that is Brisbane producer, Young Franco.

While you’re there, you’ll have the chance to check out Melbourne Winter Masterpieces: Terracotta Warriors & Cai Guo-Qiang. The unique exhibit showcases one of the greatest archaeological finds of the Twentieth Century – the ancient Terracotta Warriors – alongside new works from contemporary artist, Cai Guo-Qiang.

You can also grab a bite to eat at the Hutong Dumpling Bar in the NGV’s Great Hall during dance breaks. or while wandering around with after-hours gallery access.
