How it feels/smells/looks

The sticks are CREAMY AF! I am no expert in the contouring game, but this is the first time using a contouring cream where I felt like it actually blended really nicely into the skin, rather than making me look muddy or pulling at my foundation. I also really like the blush, it’s easy to build and blends into the skin with ease. It’s definitely not too punchy in colour, so you can easily layer a powder blush on top if a rosy cheek is more your jam. The highlighter is the only disappointment in this trio for me. Unfortunately, it doesn’t do much and seems to blend into nothingness.

Why I like it

Fenty Beauty packaging is honestly just so good. I love how compact and pretty these sticks are. The fact that they are magnetised and slot back together is not only fun but also very satisfying. I was recommended this product by makeup artist Chantelle Baker on a shoot recently, and when she says that something is a must-have in your collection, you listen. And of course, she was right. The formula is magic! The cream-to-powder finish is unlike any other product I have used.  When blended out, you can’t see where the product starts and ends – it just sits seamlessly on top of any foundation and primer. Fenty Beauty is also a 100 per cent cruelty-free brand – big tick.

Areas for improvement

As mentioned, the shimmer highlighter stick is the one let down in this pack! I wish it had more pigment and showed up more on the skin like Fenty Beauty’s powder highlights – for me it does nothing, and I won’t be reaching for it.
