How to avoid any lockdown 2.0 hair disasters.

With stage-three lockdowns reinstated in many parts of Victoria, you may once again have been left defenceless when it comes to your hair, fighting back unwanted greys and overgrown, badly cut fringes.

And with lots of stores and some salons closed, and with many of us wanting to remain at home as much as possible, having easy access to your much-needed salon-quality essentials is near impossible.

You could easily find yourself in the shower with an empty bottle of your favourite shampoo and a sweaty mullet from your morning iso workout, or desperately trying to squeeze out the last drop of your nourishing hair oil – honestly, I can’t think of anything worse.

Thankfully, you don’t have to worry about any dire haircare situations like these during lockdown, because Australian hair and beauty retailer Hairhouse has launched a new COVID-safe delivery service for all your everyday essentials.

Haircare has partnered with food delivery platform DoorDash in New South Wales and Victoria (I’m already picturing potential encounters with last night’s pizza driver) so that your favourite hair and beauty products can be delivered to your doorstep in under two hours.

Much like other delivery platforms, it works through an online ordering system connected with the delivery partner. On offer is everything from hair dyes and treatments, tanning products, wax heaters and kits, skincare, nail products and electrical styling tools from leading brands.

How does it work?

Firstly, place an order online at Hairhouse, select DoorDash Express Store-To-Door Delivery at the checkout and you’re on your way (jokes, you’re not going anywhere, but your purchase is).

When your order is received, the store is notified and will pack it for your DoorDash delivery driver to pick up and drop straight to your door – much like your favourite food delivery but a bit more glamorous.

It costs a flat fee of $7.99 within 5km and $1 for every additional 1km (up to 10km) which is a small price to pay to avoid any hair disasters, right?

The cut-off time for orders each day is 3pm so make sure you have all hair-related lockdown plans organised before then. To place your order jump online to Hairhouse.
