For an effortless glow.
I’m a notoriously nosy person when it comes to products. I want to know whether you double cleanse at night, and if so which cleansers you use. I want to know if there’s some special hair contraption or pair of tweezers that have (hyperbole warranted) changed your life. I want to know what curl definer you use and which lip balm you swear by.
But my interest in products doesn’t just pertain to the world of beauty – I’m always eager to hear about an air fryer that someone loves so much they’ve convinced their entire extended family to get one, or a laptop stand that’s corrected their posture and improved their quality of life by at least 25 per cent.

In short, I adore products. This is why I’ve asked some of our favourite Australian creatives for their top three products, AKA the products they simply cannot live without. The scope is broad – it can genuinely be any three products, as long as they’re the three they value the most.
Joining us this week is Jade Gillett, the Creative Director of the Sydney-based concept store and artisan showroom, Rainbow Studios. As a business owner, Jade’s busy schedule means she’s drawn to products that provide maximum glow with minimum effort. And the golden rule? SPF, always. If like me, you want to know what she has on rotation, you’ll be pleased to know I’ve asked her for her top three favourite beauty products of all time.
Product one: Emma Lewisham Skin Shield SPF 30

How did you first discover this product?
I kindly got gifted this product from a friend who highly recommends this SPF… she swears by it daily.
What is it/what does it do/why do you love it?
It’s a beautiful, rich and hydrating SPF, which I now can’t leave the house without wearing. I’ve noticed my skin is smoother in texture and it is definitely helping against my skin damage.
It is thick and starts off quite white on the skin, but as you rub into the skin it melts into a dewy finish – which I love. I love that it is a New Zealand brand… they are doing amazing things in the beauty industry trying to make a difference. All the products I’ve tried from the range are beautiful.
Where would you find it/who would you recommend it to?
You can find this product in Mecca stores. I would recommend it to everyone, as we all need to wear SPF!

How did you first discover this product?
I luckily got gifted this product and a few others from the founder.
What is it/what does it do/why do you love it?
It’s a very luxurious and relaxing oil that I love to use in the evenings for deep hydration while I sleep but I also add this to my face when I feel I need a quick hit of moisture. I love the smell, you can really smell the active botanicals such as lavender, turmeric and hibiscus.
Where would you find it/who would you recommend it to?
You can purchase Lesse from their website but there are also stockists all around Australia in boutique stores and shops such as Incu. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys oils for the face and wants deep hydration.
Product three: Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter

How did you first discover this product?
I think everyone has known about this product since it launched from the hype on TikTok! So I got sucked in and had to try it to see what the fuss was all about. And yep, it’s amazing! I love the way it’s super lightweight on the skin and it really does smooth the skin and takes away any unwanted patches and texture.
What is it/what does it do/why do you love it?
It’s a highlighting product that smooths and radiates the skin. It instantly gives you a brightness and glow.
Where would you find it/who would you recommend it to?
You can find this product in any Mecca store and I’d recommend it to anyone who doesn’t wear much makeup and wants a quick glow-up!
