Role Description
SWOP, Australia’s leading resale destination for curated vintage, modern and luxury second-hand fashion, is seeking a talented Assistant Store Manager – 3IC (Third in Charge) for our stunning new South Melbourne location.
This is a unique opportunity to make an impact at the forefront of the fashion circular economy, and play a key role in SWOP’s exponential growth while also advocating our core values of sustainability, responsibility and transparency.
The Assistant Store Manager – 3IC will support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager – 2IC to ensure the store runs smoothly from end-to-end, and will be able to work both creatively and strategically to continuously improve the experience for SWOP’s customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer service excellence: leading by example, you’ll prioritise the customer experience at every interaction and introduce the customer voice into all decision-making.
- Buying expertise: you’ll receive in-depth training on SWOP’s buying guidelines, and play a pivotal role in ensuring the store maintains the highest quality product assortment.
- Staff training and development: identify opportunities to mentor staff and uplevel the team’s skillset to achieve their maximum potential.
- Support eCommerce sales and styling: you’ll help to produce store-related social media content, and support online sales fulfilment quickly and accurately to deliver a best-in-class omnichannel offering for customers.
- Customer relationship management: utilising SWOP’s extensive digital tools, you’ll deepen relationships with SWOP’s most loyal buyers and sellers.
- Values-driven leadership: you’ll execute your leadership agenda through the lens of SWOP’s core values, ensuring all decisions are aligned with our culture of quality, inclusivity, integrity and connectivity.
- Sales growth and profitability: with a keen eye for numbers and deep understanding of retail KPIs, you’ll know what levers to pull to meet (or exceed!) growth targets.
KEY SKILLS
- The ideal candidate will have an established track record of success in fast-paced fashion/apparel retail management.
- You’ll possess strong business and people-management skills and a passion for sustainability, driven to make a difference in your work.
- Key to success in this role will be a love of fashion and inherent appreciation of the brands, trends, and key pieces beloved by our community, and an approachable and clear communication style to introduce SWOP and our ethos to an ever-growing audience.
