Role Description
About E Nolan:
E Nolan is a Melbourne based tailoring house producing made-to-measure garments for female and LGBTQIA+ clients across Australia, alongside fully bespoke commissions drafted and constructed from scratch for private clients. Operating from our Fitzroy studio, we specialise in highly personalised tailoring, legal regalia, occasion wear and custom garments.
Unlike traditional retail fashion, our garments are individually developed and refined through multiple client consultations, technical fittings and alteration stages. Each piece requires detailed assessment of body shape, posture, movement and client preference to achieve a precise, individual fit. We work across complex garment categories including tailored jackets, trousers, waistcoats, overcoats, ceremonial garments and legal regalia, produced in premium fabrics and finished by hand.
The Role
As our business grows, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bespoke Tailor to take responsibility for the drafting, construction, fitting and alteration of bespoke and made-to-measure garments within our tailoring studio. This is not a standard production or machinist position. It requires the ability to draft and construct bespoke garments from scratch, as well as carry out made-to-measure fittings, fit correction and complex alterations, with advanced hand-finishing throughout.
You will work closely with the founder/creative director and be central to maintaining the quality, fit and finish our clients expect.
