As a Garment Technician at Ksubi, you will be responsible for product across both Mens and Womens, you will drive and maintain Ksubi quality standards and deliver consistency in fits and fit for purpose garments. The ideal candidate will have a strong skill base around garment construction, fit and manufacturing with exceptional understanding for quality of a finished product.
Key Responsibilities
- Creation of accurate specs with relevant garment construction, measurements, and fit details to technical specs
- With a strong understanding of garments, patternmaking, grading, washes and finishes you will communicate any issues prior to handing over for sampling
- Working in conjunction with Design, Product Development and Production to meet all timelines
- Highlight any ongoing issues and concerns with Suppliers
- Attend all fit sessions for your category, accurately take notes, offer suggestions to better improve fit, construction and quality, and process all comments in line with critical path dates
- Continuing management of all products ensuring consistency of fit, colour, wash, and fabric quality
- Support and provide information on garment fit, construction and fabrics at all stages, from handover and sampling process
- Communication to be clear to all internal and external parties
KEY SKILLS
- Qualification in QA fashion/garment technology and/or work experience in a related industry
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as Garment Tech or similar
- Sound knowledge of Garment construction, patternmaking, and grading
- Sound understanding of the commercial production process as applied in a retail environment
- Full understanding of the commercial textile performance
- Full understanding of fit and sealing process as applied in a retail or wholesale environment
- Prior experience and working knowledge of successful retailers or wholesalers
- A high level of organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and contribute to an environment promoting success
