Role Description
The Graphic Design and Marketing Assistant will be a self-motivated and highly creative professional that will assist in executing our creative and tactical marketing strategies for the Lucy Folk audience. Reporting into the Marketing and PR Manager, the ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller who understands the power of social media, design, digital and is dialled into the world of jewellery, fashion, art and culture.
You will ensure digital communications have a consistent look and feel with other customer touch points, help to manage organic social media channels and plan the content calendar as well as look after the everyday community management and store activations. Additionally, you will work closely with the E-Commerce and Retail teams to ensure this vision is optimised for the continued success of the brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute all organic social content, ensuring content is tailored to each channel, including creating bespoke content for Instagram and TikTok to platform our stores, collections, products and people.
- Manage copywriting under the guidance of the Marketing and PR Manager across all customer touch points in the Lucy Folk tone of voice from editorial and social media to product descriptions and seasonal assets.
- Work with the wider brand team to implement key gifting strategies and assist in outreach, activations, product coordination and content briefing.
- Handle Lucy Folk press enquiries in partnership with the Marketing and PR manager and manage press collection and lend outs to media.
- Collaborate and workshop with the wider team to develop innovative and creative marketing concepts for retail stores, product launches and key trading periods.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to manage all seasonal campaigns, look books, new product shoots and content creation for the Lucy Folk brand.
- Manage production of all visual collateral – campaigns, non-seasonal creative shoots, e-comm shoots, and various specialised external collaborators on a project basis. Ensuring these are timely, within budget, and on-brand.
- Working with central marketing team to ensure digital communications have a consistent look and feel with other customer touch points.
- Ensure all designed digital based communications follow the multichannel seasonal concepts and are consistent with the brand guidelines.
- Manage workload and prioritise briefs in line with agreed critical path, communicating any potential slippage.
- Ensure designs meet the brief prior to handover for sign off.
- Progress to final design following amends and handover in agreed format or implement online where appropriate.
- Progress build of HTML emails as and when required
KEY SKILLS
- 2-3 years’ experience in Marketing and PR. Fashion experience preferred but not necessary.
- Demonstrable experience in web design, preferably in a branded retail fashion arena.
- Knowledge and proficient use of Creative Suite CS5 – Adobe photoshop, Dreamweaver, In-design, illustrator.
- Ability to build responsive HTML emails from conception to completion.
- Strong experience with social media platforms with a focus on TikTok and Instagram.
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Ability to project manage and multitask.
- Good understanding of the fashion landscape and passion for the retail industry.
- Highly organized, self-initiative, logical, responsible and detail oriented.
- Flexible and adaptable to business needs and dynamic retail environment
- Understanding of basic photo and video editing.
