Role Description
We’re looking for a confident, people-first leader who is fashion obsessed. Our Assistant Store Manager (ASM) supports the Store Manager and the wider retail team, bringing a deep understanding of fashion retail, and a genuine passion for the One Mile brand and aesthetic. They lead by example on the floor, cultivating an environment where style, service, and performance go hand in hand.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in retail or fashion store supervision or management, with a strong focus on customer service and sales performance
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills, with the ability to handle customer concerns and resolve issues effectively
- Comfortable with retail and POS technologies
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organised, with strong problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the team on the floor, driving performance and an elevated customer experience, particularly during peak/ holiday periods
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of store staff
- Step up to lead the store in the Store Manager’s absence
- Deliver an exceptional in-store experience, guiding customers through collections and styling outfits with strong product and brand knowledge
- Support day-to-day store operations, including rostering, stock management, visual merchandising (VM), and workflow
- Ensure visual directives and in-store standards are consistently maintained
- Contribute ideas to help grow the store and the broader business
