This is a part-time, Social Media Content Creator role based in Melbourne OR Sydney. The Social Media Content Creator will plan, create, and publish engaging content across social media platforms to showcase Steele’s collections, campaigns, and brand stories. Day-to-day tasks include producing photo and video content, writing captions and short-form copy, scheduling posts, monitoring performance, and responding to community interactions.
The role involves collaborating with the marketing and design teams to align content with brand messaging, supporting product launches, and maintaining a consistent visual and tonal identity. The Social Media Content Creator will also contribute to brainstorming new content ideas, staying up to date with social media trends, and supporting on-site events or shoots as needed.
The social media manager also supports our influencer gifting program & content creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong skills in social media content creation, including short-form copywriting, visual storytelling, and basic photo/video production.
- Experience managing brand social media channels (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook), including planning calendars, posting, and community engagement.
- Ability to use content and design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms to create on-brand assets.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics, performance metrics, and optimization for reach and engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and a consistent brand voice.
- Strong sense of style and interest in fashion, with the ability to interpret and represent Steele’s brand aesthetic.
- Ability to communicate Australian cultural nuances and needs to offshore team.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site & offshore team environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to produce content shoots on the ground with local photographers & talent.
- Prior experience in fashion, retail, or lifestyle brands and relevant tertiary education in marketing, communications, media, or a related field is beneficial.
- 15 – 20 hours per week. Remote or hybrid.
