The Cara Delevingne x Nasty Gal collab was shot in Jimi Hendrix’s studio

An ode to women who rock.

Nasty Gal is dropping another collaboration for the holidays, and this time it’s with supermodel, actress, musician and owner of a great pair of brows, Cara Delevingne.

The brand is committed to partnering with trailblazing women to inspire its collections and front its campaigns, and Delevingne is no different. Her unapologetic advocacy of women’s rights, animal conservation and mental health is completely in line with this forward-thinking spirit.

For the new collection, Nasty Gal took cues from female rock icons across the ages, peppering references to musicians like Stevie Nicks and Cher throughout.

Across more than 40 ready-to-wear pieces, you’ll find retro-inspired details like heavy beading, ’80s power shoulders, sheer textiles, sequins and fringe. Cara cites her personal favourite pieces as the distressed Rip Her to Shreds Wide-leg Jeans and the It’s the Little Things Crop Top.

Pops of rock-appropriate leopard print also appear alongside a palette of pink, gold, black, white and grey.

To kick off the release, the brand shot its campaign at Jimi Hendrix’s iconic recording studio, Electric Lady Studios.

“I loved shooting at the studio. I was constantly tempted to play some of the instruments laying around,” Delevingne admits.
