Christopher Kane once again features Crocs in his collection, despite hate

IDGAF.

When Christopher Kane previewed a collaboration with Crocs at New York Fashion Week last year, it created hype. So much hype, in fact, the internet might as well have crashed, Anna Wintour ought to have fainted and the rest of us should have taken a day off work.

Skip forward a year and Christopher Kane blazes into 2017 with his usual IDGAF attitude.

The Christopher Kane 2017 Pre-Fall lookbook once again features what the internet aptly dubbed ‘Fashion Crocs’. This one falls right under the dictionary definition for oxymoron.

Last year, Kane told WWD he doesn’t care what people think about the brand collaboration with Crocs.

“Unless they’re God, just shut up,” he said.

It’s all pretty amusing, if you ask us.

Regardless of whether the partnership was intended to create hype, the collab has resulted in two collections featuring the shoe in a gemstone-embellished option.

If it’s taught us anything, it’s:

a) that brand collaborations are pretty powerful business,
b) you can expect anything on a runway, and
c) people really don’t like crocs. Even when you put cute little gemstones on them.

Kane’s Fashion Crocs and the rest of the Pre-Fall collection can be viewed in the gallery above.
