The first of its kind.

If you’re a fan of coffee, Hello Kitty and aesthetically-pleasing interiors, the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe makes a perfect addition to your bucket list.

The California spot will officially open its doors to the public on September 14, as America’s first-ever Hello Kitty cafe.

Although Sanrio-themed spaces have popped up in America before, the new Irvine location will be the first to stay permanently.

Decked in Hello Kitty-themed interiors and homewares, the Grand Cafe offers two separate experiential settings.

The casual, fast-service dining space seats up to 12 guests, with a menu offering of on-the-go bites like hot doughnuts, cookies, cakes as well as themed merchandise.

Special reservations are held in the ‘Bow Room’, which sees pink interiors and matching Hello Kitty decor. While it hosts reserved tea parties during the day, the room transitions into a bustling cocktail bar at night.

Unfortunately, the Grand Cafe is a 16-hour flight away. But if anyone’s headed to Los Angeles this month, have a matcha cocktail for us.
