Australian homewares label Bed Threads has released a line of al fresco-ready tableware
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BED THREADS

Tableware as delightful as the company.
Is there any scene more representative of the summer holidays than a table set for 12? Your auntie is fussing around in the kitchen mixing white wine spritzers while your dad mans the grill with unmatched dedication. There’s a pavlova in the fridge for later and laughter echoes through the yard. The hours melt away, the sun sets, the citronella candles come out and someone tells that story you’ve all heard a thousand times. Then you do it all again next year.
Australian linen label Bed Threads has just released the most picture-perfect collection of tableware made for moments like these. Designed for long lunches that stretch well into the evening, the range takes inspiration from the motifs and hues of a European vacation, bringing a laidback holiday spirit to dining tables across Australia.

Featuring artist-designed plates, placemats, coasters and napkins, the new line has everything necessary for the most stunning dinner party. The Cloud coasters, made from 100 per cent French flax linen (just like Bed Threads’ luxurious bed sheets), are the perfect complement to a sippable summer cocktail.
Following the success of the brand’s ever-popular scalloped tableware, first released in 2021, the new Cloud and Flower placemats embrace natural silhouettes and textures and feature a contrast-toned border to really make them pop. Delicate, durable and dreamy, they’re the ultimate conversation starter for your guests as you finish up on the garnishes.

For the first time ever, Bed Threads collaborated with three artists to create exclusive Holiday Collection plates that make for the most fitting home for a creamy baked camembert or a bed of crushed ice and oysters.
New South Wales-based artist Gemma Bamforth contributed her paintings to a range of plates celebrating quintessentially Italian produce – Amalfi citrus, zucchini flowers and golden peaches, to name a few. The set encourages party hosts to choose fresh, seasonal ingredients and appreciate the simple things in life.
British design duo Liv and Dom Cave-Sutherland have contributed a set of colourful plates showcasing the beauty of the feminine form and the natural world. Mismatched or standing alone, each plate makes a statement, inspired by vintage hand-painted crockery and modern cottagecore aesthetics.
When it comes time for dessert, there’s no better way to serve it up than on Gabriella Picone’s pastry plates. Eye-catching and bright, they’re decorated with the sweets and seafood of Sicily. The New York-based artist and founder of Idda Studio is best known for her vibrant scarves, tapestries and table stylings.

The Bed Threads Holiday Tableware Collection has so much to offer it’s almost overwhelming. Luckily, the brand’s talented team of designers has organised bundles containing complementary tones and textures, so all you have to do is send out the invites, arrange the florals and focus on not overcooking the crab.
In elevated combinations like olive, pistachio and mineral and limoncello and tumeric, the sets come in three different sizes and contain a set of napkins and placemats as well as an elegantly draped tablecloth. Of course, if you’re especially specific with your tastes, Bed Threads always offers the option to create your own bundle as well.
Whether you’re crammed into your sharehouse backyard with your book club and a few bottles of pet net or amid the blooms of your grandma’s well-pruned garden, there’s really nothing better than getting together with the ones you love and sharing great food and conversation.
The Holiday Tableware Collection wants to make those times even more precious, sparking joy with tableware that matches the quality of the company. Whether bought as a treat for yourself or a gift for your most extra friend, these are pieces designed to be cherished.
