Book review: The Little Book of Big Beauty

Words by Leah White

Packed with helpful tips.

With Christmas just around the corner, The Little Book of Big Beauty could be the perfect gift for the makeup lover in your life. It is, however, by no means a shallow guide to outer beauty.

Penned by makeup artist Bernadette Fisers, this title provides holistic tips on how to feel beautiful both inside and out. Broken into three chapters – Inner Beauty, Beautiful Habits and Outer Beauty – it’s packed with helpful pro tips.

Learn about the beauty products you think you need (but you actually don’t), habits to adopt for beautiful skin, alternative ways to use the makeup you already own and ways to look after your inner beauty.

It’s not often a beauty guide also delves into exploring the essence of non-physical beauty, but The Little Book of Big Beauty manages to do so without being preachy. A good read for teenagers and those starting to dabble in the often superficial world of makeup.
