Apparently Coca-Cola is in talks for a cannabis-infused range

Following a recent move into the alcohol market, Coca-Cola could be experimenting with a cannabis-infused range.
According to reports from Bloomberg, Coca-Cola is ‘in talks’ with Aurora Cannabis, a Canadian medicinal marijuana producer.
Spokespersons from both companies declined to confirm the news, however sources claimed that Coca-Cola was interested in producing a range infused with cannabidiol (CBD). While the chemical doesn’t produce the same high as inhaling marijuana, it can be used to ease inflammation, pain and cramping.
Coca-Cola spokesperson Kent Landers told Bloomberg: “Along with many others in the beverage industry, we are closely watching the growth of non-psychoactive CBD as an ingredient in functional wellness beverages around the world.
The space is evolving quickly. No decisions have been made at this time.”
