‘Clueless’ is getting its very own musical

“Isn’t my house classic? The columns date all the way back to 1972.”

It seems like all our fave movies are continuing to get the musical treatment. Following Mean Girls, Bring It On and Legally Blonde, 1995 flick Clueless is set to hit the stage.

The project was first rumoured to be going ahead way back in 2015, but never came to fruition. Now the film’s original director, Amy Heckerling, is adapting the film into an off-Broadway production.

The show will be set in the ’90s and rework hits of the decade into parodies and monologues.

Expect Clueless, The Musical to premiere in November as part of the roster for theatre company, The New Group.
