Eggscellent.

Arguably the best part about Easter is all the delicious food that comes with it.

Hot cross buns, Red Tulip Easter bunnies, and perhaps most exciting of all, Gelato Messina’s annual egg specials.

This year, the ice cream overlords have truly outdone themselves with the release of The Holy Trinity. The heavenly collection contains three special gelato egg flavours, resurrected from Messina’s treasured archives.

Lord Lamington features multiple layers of coconut gelato, raspberry gel, coconut and chocolate dacquoise and milk chocolate parfait. It’s then dipped into a red chocolate glaze and desiccated coconut for a sweet finish.

Next up, Saint Pistachio is made of a rich Italian nougat, topped with chocolate honey gelato and a pistachio fudge ‘yolk’.

And here’s where things get really exciting. The Holy Hot Cross Bun is filled with gelato that has been cooked with real hot cross buns, complete with large chunks inside. The centre is made of dulce de leche and coated in a milk chocolate glaze. Sign us the hell up.

If this has got your taste buds watering, The Holy Trinity arrives as a box of three, containing one egg of each flavour (eggers can’t be choosers).

Priced at $79 for all three, you can make your order here.
