A Hello Kitty bullet train is coming to Japan this year

This is not a drill.

Hello Kitty has collaborated on a lot of cool projects, but we think we’ve found the ultimate.

JR West has announced it has tapped the much-loved character for a Hello Kitty-themed bullet train.

Yes you read that correctly – you will soon be able to catch an actual Hello Kitty train. Such a glorious thing could only happen in Japan.

The all-pink Shinkansen train will feature kawaii decorations and Hello Kitty motifs, both inside and out.

It’s all taking place in a bid to reinvigorate the West Japan region, and will be operating for a limited time only this Japanese summer.
