Excuse me. Excuse me.

2018 is officially the year of reboots.

The Nanny, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Baby-Sitters Club, nothing is safe from a new age revival. And now, apparently, Daria is next.

The cynical queen of the ’90s is set to star in her own spinoff series, Daria and Jodie, which will follow the life of her and her best friend.

According to a press release, Daria and Jodie will “take on the world, with their signature satirical voice while deconstructing popular culture, social classes, gender, and race.”

This time around, the series will be written by Grace Edwards, who has previously helmed excellent shows like Broad City and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

The reboot joins several others including The Real World, MADE, and sci-fi anime series Aeon Flux as part of MTV’s new production unit, MTV Studios.

It’s all in a bid to revive old classics with the plan to sell them off to streaming platforms and services. If it paves the way for more ’90s TV on Netflix, we’re not complaining.

According to an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, MTV president Chris McCarthy revealed even more reboots could be on the way too.

“People are excited about what a new Laguna Beach would look like. We’re not ready to announce that but we’re certainly not against that,” he said.

In the meantime, transport yourself down memory lane by reliving this classic:
