When worlds collide.
Coca-Cola has announced it will release its first-ever alcoholic drink in Japan this year, paving way for carbonated beverage greatness.
The brand will produce Chu-Hi, a popular flavoured drink in Japan made from sparkling water and shochu, a local Japanese spirit. It’s said to have an alcohol content of between three and eight per cent, putting it in direct competition with beer.
While there are no current plans for a global launch, let’s hope this means we’re one step closer to alcoholic Coca-Cola, something the world could really use.
