Aaaaand there goes your day.

Whatever you had planned for today, prepare to put it aside.

Instagram account @gakugakugakugakugaku1 is dedicated to the traditional art of Thai carving – making intricate sculptures out of fruit. And if you ask us, it’s damn impressive.

The account is run by Japanese-based chef Takehiro Kishimoto, and has amassed some 260,000 followers since its inception in 2016.

Sculptures are carved out of avocados, grapes, lemons, apples, eggs, broccoli and even peanuts. According to an interview with i-D, each design takes the artist about one to two hours.

Scroll through a few of our favourite works below, and prepare to get stuck in an Instagram spiral.
